Boston to make big move in signing Mo Bamba

The Celtics were eliminated from the postseason just days ago, but they’ve established themselves as an up-and-coming group that figures to contend for a championship next season. The one hole in what is a mostly loaded roster, though, is in the middle.Texas center Mo Bamba, who is expected to be one of the top picks in this year’s draft for Boston Celtics.

Mohamed Bamba would instantly become Boston’s lone rim protector. Averaging 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and an amazing 3.7 blocks in 30.2 minutes in his lone freshman season at the University of Texas, he projects as a top-10 pick in the draft. Given his insane length and ability to shoot from the perimeter (he knocked down 14-of-51 threes), he fits the new mold of an NBA center and has been compared to Joel Embiid for their obvious similarities.
