Vihiga FC drops to 5th

Vihiga were disappointed by Bandari after they beat them 1-0 to climb to fifth at Mbaraka Stadium in Mombasa.

Bandari’s substitute player Darius Msagha’s 75th minute strike handed the dockers the three points, moving them to 27 points in the log making them 5th.Bandari head coach Ken Odhiambo praised his substitutes who proved to be the difference for his side.

Vihiga United head coach Mike Mururi said his player lost concentration in the final minutes to concede the late goal.

“We played well in the first half and part of the last half where we lost almost three good scoring chances, but my players collapsed towards the end and suffered the consequences,” he said.

The match between Tusker vs Ulinzi was played at the muddy Ruaraka grounds.

The match seemed headed for a 1-0 lead for Tusker at halftime until Muchiri reminded the fans of his free kick conversion skills as he curled the ball from the edge to hand his side the second goal with a minute to play.

Osumba completed his brace in the 48th minute after being teed by Hashim Sempala. Efforts by Ulinzi to stage a comeback were futile as Matano called on his players to protect the 3-0 lead.
