Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope sustains injury.

Pope was forced off after colliding with Dons’ striker Sam Cosgrove. Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope appears to have sustained a “serious” shoulder injury during the Clarets’ 1-1 Europa League qualifying draw at Aberdeen. The 26-year-old was part of England’s World Cup squad and won his first cap against Costa Rica in June.

Pope’s injury, coupled with Tom Heaton’s calf problem, leaves Burnley with only two fit senior goalkeepers.

Anders Lindegaard, who made his Burnley debut as Pope’s replacement on Thursday, is likely to start the return leg at Turf Moor next week, while Adam Legzdins is also available to Sean Dyche.
