Group B favorites to proceed

The teams in group B are  Portugal who lead the table followed by Spain, Morocco and Iran.

The likely teams to proceed are Spain and Portugal though Iran and Morocco might surprise us.

Cristiano will be leading Portugal to another undeserving win just like the Euros backed up by Pepe ,Ricardo Quaresma and Goncalo Guedes who does best is cut inside and create chances for himself and others. Definitely a player to watch.

Working with Ronaldo and potentially Andre Silva in attack, he can be another creative force for this team in Russia. When it comes to talent, this team is up there with some of the best. But an aging central defense is a concern.

Spain face a challenge after sacking their manager Julen Lopetegui a day to the World Cup.They play Portugal on Friday evening. David De Gea is surely set to start in goal for Spain after his incredible form over the last few seasons.

Asensio and Suso are the players to watch this time round if given the chance to play ,he’s already been playing in the Real Madrid first team.  Suso is another name currently playing at Milan who can be used as right winger and behind the striker.

Morocco returns to the World Cup in 2018, 20 years after its last appearance. Led by former Ivory Coast boss Kerve Renard, the African nation boasts a physical defense, a team that prides itself on teamwork and a hunger to make a name for themselves on the biggest stage

Their best player is Juventus Medhi Benatia who is also their captain. He’s led his country back to world cup after 20 years of absence. Young 24-year-old forward Ayoub El Kaabi. He’s got 10 goals in eight caps and has been a bright spot on this team entering the tournament. Currently at Moroccan club RS Berkane, he has 21 goals in 38 matches for them. He made his international debut at the Africa Nations Championship in January.

Iran are being Led by former Real Madrid and Portugal manager Carlos Queiroz. Iran have had  5 appearances. Their best player is Striker Sardar Azmoun, he’s been sharp for Iran since his debut in 2014. The 23-year-old has 23 goals in 31 appearances for the nation and has solid size, giving him the ability to do well in the air and you his physicality inside the box, especially with his back to the goal.

Their target player is Goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand, he’s 6-foot-5, so his length is a huge plus though it can also be an obstacle as he might have challenges with low shots.
