England ready for World Cup as they defeat Costa Rica in friendly

England are ready for the World Cup after a stunning win against Costa Rica last night.They had goals from Marcus Rashford and off the bench Danny Welbeck.This was enough to put the english men ahead with scores remaining 2-0 at full time.

Rashford won man of the match after an energetic performance and extreme confidence, looking dangerous every time he touched the ball and top that with a goal. The England starting IX is full of competition as players will have to work for starts.  Speaking to the press after the win Southgate said none of his players should feel comfortable in the knowledge they would start against Tunisia.

England face their World Cup Group G opener against Tunisia in Volgograd a week on Monday.

Costa Rica meet Belgium in a friendly on Monday before their World Cup group E opener with Serbia in Samara on Sunday June 17.
