Chemilil routed Bandari 1-0 over the weekend.
Chemelil Sugar head coach Juma Abdalla Swaleh has set to finish top eight in the Kenya Premier League table this season following this weekends 1-0 win over Bandari.
Speaking during the post match interview at KPA Mbaraki Sports Club coach Abdalla said the win was a big motivation for the team.
‘’This is a good result for us. The boys are really motivated. Our game plan worked well. Our plan was to score an early goal and defend. Our target is finish among the best eight teams at the end of the season,” he said after the match.
The match at KPA Mbaraki Sports club saw Shaphan Siwa netting the lone goal for Chemilil from a clinical header in the 20th minute. With the win Chemilil are placed ninth position on the 18-team Kenyan Premier League (KPL) log with 34 points , one point ahead of tenth-placed Bandari.
Chemelil host Mathare United at Awendo in their next match scheduled for October 1’st 2017 at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
