Group F: Germany – World Cup Betting Odds & Tips

Reigning world champions Germany will once again be one of the teams to beat at this summer’s tournament in Russia.

Joachim Low’s side claimed their fourth world title thanks to a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final four years ago, a result that means only Brazil have won the tournament on more occasions than the Germans.

Indeed, Germany have qualified for the finals of every World Cup they have entered and their consistency levels have been particularly highlighted of late, as they have reached at least the semi-finals of the last four tournaments.

There appears to be no reason to suggest that the Germans cannot go along way once again this summer, particularly if their qualifying campaign is anything to go by, as they won all 10 of their matches to reach the finals in impressive fashion.

Thomas Muller and Sandro Wagner both grabbed five goals during qualifying, while a whole host of the players who won the World Cup four years ago still remain in the squad, including Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels and Mesut Ozil.

The depth of Germany’s squad is arguably their biggest strength and that was showcased last summer when an inexperienced team won the Confederations Cup in Russia, while their Under-21 side were crowned European champions.

Germany are priced at 5.50 to go on and claim a fifth world title this summer and they will fancy their chances of emerging from their group, with opponents Mexico, Sweden and South Korea likely to pose a challenge that Low’s men should be able to rise to.
