Jordan Rhodes was pleased to set the Rovers on their way to three points on Saturday.

The club’s record signing took his goals tally to eight this season with a brace at the Goldsands Stadium in their 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth.

Ahead of the match against the Cherries Rovers had only scored the opening goal in one previous league fixture, something that the team were determined to put right.

“It was nice to get a couple of goals and more importantly get the win,” said Rhodes. “This isn’t an easy place to come to at the best of times,

“We all knew about that stat going into the game, but we knew we would give ourselves a chance if we got our noses in front.

“Games in this league especially, whoever scores the first goal gives themselves the upper hand and gives themselves a chance.

“Fortunately we’ve managed to do that and come away with the three points.

“It was a successful trip and we can now get ourselves ready for Tuesday’s game at home to Watford now.”

Rhodes are Rovers are back in action this Tuesday night when Watford are the visitors to Ewood Park.

Tickets will be on sale up until the 7.45pm kick-off priced from £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk and collect your tickets from the Blackburn End collection point on the night.
