Ryan Moore clinched victory in the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, beating Gary Woodland at the first play-off hole.
Bad weather prevented the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday and, with Moore and Woodland both tied on 14 under par, they were forced to come back on Monday to play the par-five 18th.
Woodland, who had missed a putt for the title on the previous day, was immediately in trouble when he fired his second shot into the rough, before his approach to the green went right.
Moore, on the other hand, was just short of the green in two, before he chipped to within two feet of the hole and knocked in the putt to claim a birdie and take the win in impressive style.
Speaking after the win, Moore admitted he was delighted to see all the hard work he puts into his game finally pay off.
“It’s been a fun week,” Moore revealed. “I started with a bit of the flurry on the first day, making a bunch of birdies, then cooled down a little bit but was able to do what I had to do to get to this point.
“Fortunately I hit a great shot there and left myself a nice short putt.
“I’ve been putting in the effort, putting in the time and it’s nice to see it pan out.”
