Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is now hungry for more silverware as he looks ahead to his second campaign at Old Trafford.
Having claimed the Premier League title in his first season at Manchester United, striker Robin van Persie is now hungry for more silverware as he looks ahead to his second campaign at Old Trafford.
The former Arsenal skipper left the north London club last summer, saying that his decision to move to Man United was driven by the urge to win titles.
Now the Dutch international has a Premier League medal he is looking for more success, as the Red Devils begin a new era following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson this summer.
Former Everton manager David Moyes is the man to take United into next season, as they look to retain their English crown and challenge for domestic and European glory.
Van Persie was pleased with how his first season went at Old Trafford but the 29-year-old is not resting on his laurels and, having scored 26 Premier League goals last term, he wants to bring yet further success to the club in the future.
He told the Daily Mirror: “I have a feeling that we can do much more and that we can win many more trophies.
“I’ve had a year to work with everyone and now the whole coaching staff is changing, which makes it a new challenge.
“I’ve got to know the players through and through and I’ve a feeling they have a lot more in them. A whole lot more.”
