Carlo Ancelotti has indicated that he could makes changes to his Real Madrid side for their trip to Malaga on Saturday evening (Dafabet Match Betting – Malaga 9.12, Draw 6.00, Real 1.26).

The La Liga leaders will look to extend their advantage at the top of the table, which is currently three points over Atletico Madrid and four points over third-placed Barcelona.

As we get to the crucial stage of the season, the big teams across Europe are trying to use all of their squad to help them contend on all fronts.

The Real boss has suggested that he is considering playing Isco in a deeper midfield role against his old club at the Estadio La Rosaleda, despite being brought in this summer as a playmaker.

Ancelotti has compared the former Malaga man to Clarence Seedorf and feels the 21-year-old can deal with a new role in the first team.

The Italian insisted: “He can play there no problem he can help the team here. Di Maria was also not used to the position, just a few games with his national team. But he got used to it, and has been playing very well.”

Some might question why Ancelotti, who’s team has not lost since October 26, is looking to swap things around and try new things at this stage of the season.

But in the next couple of weeks, Real face three big games which could help define their season. In midweek, they face Schalke in the second-leg of their last-16 Champions League tie before two crunch La Liga fixtures.

The 1.30 favourites to win the Spanish title face Barcelona at the Bernabeu next weekend, before a tough looking trip to Andalusia to face Sevilla during midweek.
