Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was not all that impressed with West Ham United’s approach to their goalless draw which saw Blues drop two valuable points in the race for the Premier League title.

Mourinho saw his side notch up 39 attempts at goal but they found Hammers’ keeper Adrian in formidable form and were unable to break the deadlock against a resilient West Ham outfit, who will be delighted with a point against their London rivals.

However the ‘Special One’ was clearly disappointed with the way the visitors went about the game and had no reservations about slamming their tactics after the final whistle.

Mourinho said: “It’s very difficult to play a football match where only one team wants to play. It’s very difficult.

“A football match is about two teams playing and this match was only one team playing and another team not playing.”

It won’t be easy for Chelsea to get back to winning ways as they leave the home comforts of The Bridge on Monday to face table-toppers Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

At present three points is the difference between the two teams in the Premier League table and the fear of dropping six behind City at the start of February will be a big motivator for Mourinho and his side in the north west.

The Londoners are 4.40 to earn a valuable three points, 3.31 to draw and 1.85 to lose to the freescoring Citizens.
