Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists his side will go all out for the win when they take on title rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

City are four points adrift of the Merseysiders but they have two games in hand, meaning they would still be able to win the league if they draw Sunday’s match and win all their remaining games.

Despite the fact a draw would still leave City’s fate in their own hands, Pellegrini has stressed he will send his side out to win at Anfield and he is confident they can come away with all three points.

“Maybe I am wrong but I always think in the same as a manager, if you play to draw, you will lose,” Pellegrini is quoted as saying by ESPN.

“So we are going to play to win. Of course, after the game, if we couldn’t win the game and we draw it’s a good result, but we are not going to play against Liverpool thinking we must draw. We don’t know [how] to play in that way.”

Chelsea are also involved in the battle for the Premier League title but they lead City by just two points having played two games more, meaning the Blues need both Pellegrini’s side and Brendan Rodgers’s men to slip up if they are to claim Premier League glory.

City can be backed at 1.70 to win the Premier League, Liverpool are 2.90 and Chelsea are 7.60.
