Swansea City say they have yet to receive any bids or approaches for captain Ashley Williams despite reports centre-back is looking to leave the club.

Speculation is rife as to whether Williams will stay in south Wales, with many suggesting he has his heart set on a move to Arsenal.

Both Liverpool and Everton are also tracking the Welsh international, who was one of the star performers for the Capital One winners last season

Swansea are desperate to keep hold of their man and are under no pressure to sell after he signed a new three-year-deal in 2012.

In response to the rumours Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins claims no club have contacted him regarding a possible deal with Williams.

He said: “While there seems to be constant speculation about Ashley Williams, I can honestly say that I have not had one call from anybody about him.

“There have been all sorts of stories in the press about what is happening with Ash but I have never heard anything from anyone.”
