Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain believes it doesn’t matter who scores against Atletico Madrid in Copa del Rey final.

The local rivals meet at Santiago Bernabeu for the King’s Cup after failed attempts to win in the La Liga and their respective European tournaments.

With 16 goals in 41 appearances, the Argentine has had a respectable season but would rather have a title-clinching victory than simply adding to his goal tally.

“I hope we win. Beyond that it doesn’t matter who scores the goals as long as we win the cup. If I score, that’s great, but more than anything we are thinking about winning the match,” Higuain said.

Their opponents are known for having great defence, leading La Liga by conceding only 30 goals this season, but Higuain feels their offence will prove to be too much against the Vicente Calderon outfit.

“If they have conceded the lowest number of goals in the league, it’s because they are doing well. But our idea is to look for their weak points, which they do have, and I hope that’s reflected on Friday and we win.”
