Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho may have claimed his side were not in title race following 1-0 win over Manchester City on Monday, but Blues midfielder Eden Hazard has no doubt his side has what it takes to lift Premier League trophy in May.

The ‘Special One’ has continued to weave his magic on his return to the English top flight and a hard-fought victory at the Etihad Stadium this week has certainly highlighted the Londoners’ credentials to be in the mix at the business end of the season, with Chelsea 2.95 to win the title.

Their ability to grind out results against their title rivals is what makes Chelsea an attractive proposition for the English crown and if they can avoid slip-ups against some of the lesser teams, they have a great chance of going all the way.

Mourinho’s post-match comments (and pre-match for that matter) can always be taken with a pinch of salt but the Portuguese tactician has stated Chelsea are not ready to challenge this season.

However, Hazard believes the Blues are more than capable of going all the way this term and hopes the club can put together a winning streak following the win over City.

The Belgium international said: “We really did things in fine style. The three points (against City) will be important in the title race.

“We are aiming to win the league. It won’t be easy, but we won’t give up, we have the qualities needed to do it.

“Let’s see what happens between now and the end of the season.”
