Chelsea striker Demba Ba believes his brief spell at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end after failing to secure regular first-team football under manager Jose Mourinho.

The former Newcastle United forward could still leave the London outfit with a Premier League medal, with the Blues at 3.10 to see off the challenges of Manchester City and Liverpool to claim the title.

Ba is likely to attract plenty of interest in the summer transfer window, with Arsenal a possibly destination for the Senegalese striker as he was linked with the Gunners before his move to the Bridge.

The 28-year-old is hoping to end his time with Chelsea on a high but he has all but ended any chance of him staying at the club beyond the summer window.

He said: “My agent has spoken to the club about a departure and he has started speaking with other clubs about a contract for next season.

“I hope we can find the best option possible. I’d like to stay in England. I like other leagues, too. I’d like to try the Italian league. Nothing’s been confirmed but there are a few teams in Italy who play very good football.”

Chelsea could yet achieve the double this season with the Premier League and Champions League still up for grabs.

The Blues, who face PSG in the quarter-finals, are 12.00 to go all the way and win the Champions League for the second time in their history.
