Hull FC’s hopes of progressing in the Challenge Cup could hinge on the fitness of Daniel Holdsworth, Ben Crooks and Richard Horne.

The key trio are all injury doubts ahead of Saturday’s trip to Perpignan for the clash with the Catalans Dragons and director of rugby Shaun McRae is keeping his fingers crossed they make it.

McRae will give the trio as a long as possible to prove their fitness ahead of the quarter-final clash and says none of them have been ruled out of the game at this stage.

Crooks is facing a race against time to make the game following an ankle problem, while Holdsworth and Horne are also hoping to be included in the squad that travels over to France on Friday.

“Nobody has been ruled out yet, but we won’t take players on the plane with us who are not fully fit to play,” McRae revealed.

“Daniel’s calf injury is improving every day and like Richard Horne, he’s working very hard with the medical staff to get himself right to play.

“We will see how the players progress today and then make a decision, but nobody is definitely out yet.”

Hull FC travel to France looking for revenge after losing 30-4 at Catalans last month, but they are not in the best of form having lost their last four Super League games.

Catalans had not been in the best of shape either but ended a two-game losing sequence with victory over London Broncos last time out.
