Brock Lesnar’s Shocking Return

After he called quits in 2011, it was highly unexpected that Brock Lester is going to return to the octagon for at least one more fight. During his appearance on ESPN Sports Center, Brock announced he will be fighting Mark Hunt for UFC 200 after which he will make a return on WWE Summer Slam this coming August 21.

As many fans knew, Lesnar was suffering from diverticulitis which made him struggled from two previous fights against Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem. However, the former heavyweight champion never left his desires to fight again. In an interview with his friend Paul Heyman, Brock shares his thoughts about his comeback. “I wasn’t at top of my game so I feel like I was cheated out of my career in UFC. I never lost to a foe. I never lost to my opponent. I lost to diverticulitis,” he said.

Speaking of the money involved, Lesnar refuses to talk about it and was in his typical cadid self. “I cannot disclose. There’s a lot of zeroes behind it”, Lesnar said.

Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar 2

Aldo-McGregor rematch is far from taking place. Instead, the former featherweight champion will fight against the former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar for UFC 200 main card. The two have already fought back at UFC 156 in February 2013 and both scared in their faces with an almost close decision. Aldo defeated Edgar via unanimous.

Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes

After the thrilling victory over Holly Holm, Miesha Tate will have her first title defense against Amanda Nunes in UFC 200 batamweight bout. Tate almost lost her last fight as she was behind the scorecards (38-37) against Holm when he executed a rear-naked chose in the 5th round. The last two fights were unfortunate for “Cupcake” including her second loss to Ronda Rousey (0-2) but since he won in 5 straight fights, she’s on his way of becoming the champion.
