Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton insists another looming title success will not be on his mind as he prepares to race in the United States Grand Prix this weekend.

The Brit is inches away from another title win and he would become only the third man to win a fifth world title. He can get his hands on another crown if he wins in Austin, Texas, and rival Sebastian Vettel finishes lower than second.

Hamilton is 67 points in front of the German and he is the overwhelming favourite to wrap up the title.

Despite his advantage, Hamilton insists he will not take his foot off the gas with Vettel still fighting for silverware.

He told BBC Sport: “It just feels like another race weekend that we want to win. It is a simple goal to arrive and try to do the same thing, the weather is up and down and the goal is to have the same performance as in previous races.

“We expect Ferrari to punch back hard here this weekend. We can’t be relaxed. We have to come here and raise the bar.

“I don’t need more pressure, I am just trying to focus on how I have driven all year long. It is going to be a tricky weekend. Nothing is given.”

Hamilton is priced at 1.50 to get the race win this weekend and he is closely followed by Vettel as expected.

The Ferrari star is 3.80, while team-mate Kimi Raikkonen is 13.00 to claim the victory.
