Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg says he is hopeful of keeping the momentum going at the Russia Grand Prix this weekend and landing another top-10 finish this season.

Hulkenberg has been in good form for Renault this year and he finished in the points for the ninth time in Singapore last time out, leaving him seventh in the Drivers’ Championship.

Team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. also impressed at Marina Bay as he recorded a second straight eighth-place finish and the French manufacturer are fourth in the Constructors’ Championship, 15 points ahead of Haas in fifth.

Next up on the Formula One calendar is a trip to Sochi for the Russian GP and Hulkenberg will be looking to keep the momentum going from his last appearance at the track.

Having failed to finish in the top-10 in Russia on three occasions, the German ended up in the points in last year’s race and he is optimistic of another positive performance.

“I ended my bad run in Sochi last season by finishing eighth, which was my second points finish in Renault colours,” Hulkenberg was quoted as saying by f1i.com.

“I haven’t had the best luck in Russia up until that after a couple of retirements, but we’ve put that behind us now and we’ll be aiming for another strong finish this season as well.”

Mercedes ace Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make it five wins from the last six races this weekend and the championship leader is the 2.05 favourite to win in Sochi.

Title-rival Sebastian Vettel is 2.25 to win for Ferrari whilst the second Silver Arrow of Valtteri Bottas, who was fourth in Singapore last time out, is priced at 8.00.
