West Ham manager Slaven Bilic insists the squad are confident of securing a second victory over Arsenal this season when they travel to Upton Park on Saturday.

The Hammers, who are priced at 4.50 to win the FA Cup, claimed all three points when they travelled to the Emirates to face Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League season.

West Ham’s performances have remained at a high level throughout the campaign and they are still in the hunt for a potential Champions League spot.

Bilic admitted that he is buoyed by the fact that he was able to guide his side to a win in his first Premier League outing but feels this weekend will prove much tougher.

Arsenal make the short trip across to east London knowing that anything but a win could see their title hopes ended.

The Croatian insists his side are in good form and is expecting to see a top quality final meeting between to two at Upton Park.

Bilic said: “It’s about our form and position in the table that makes us quite confident. That game was ages ago, but it’s nice to know at the back of your head that we played and beat them earlier this season. It has not a lot to do with this game, however. Arsenal have great pace and skill and are very lethal especially in the beginning of game.

“The season is approaching its end and it is very important for them and for us. We are both fighting for a place in Europe and from their point of view, they’re trying to be champions.

“They admitted that they must win all their remaining games, so it’s a big game with a lot at stake. They have said they need the three points and so do we to stay in the race, so it should be a really good game of football.”
