Swansea have been handed a huge boost with the news star strikers Michu and Wilfried Bony are in contention to face Hull on Monday evening.

Swans boss Michael Laudrup has been facing something of an injury crisis in attack as both players along with Alvaro Vasquez have been on the sidelines with injuries.

Michu has been out since early November after he picked up an ankle problem in the 1-0 defeat against arch rivals Cardiff, but he trained on Sunday and could come back into the side that faces the Tigers.

Bony also trained after recovering from a hamstring injury that has hampered him for the last few weeks and Laudrup now has to decide whether to bring the duo straight back in or start them on the bench.

Following last week’s crucial 3-0 win over Newcastle and with a hectic Christmas period on the horizon, Laudrup may err on the side of caution and stick with the side that beat the Magpies.

It is not all good news, though, as Vasquez will remain on the sidelines for another four weeks with a groin injury, while Leon Britton is still a fortnight away as he recovers from a broken toe.

As for Hull, they have Curtis Davies available again after he missed the 2-0 defeat against Arsenal through suspension.

James Chester played at the Emirates Stadium but the influential Davies is expected to return in central defence.
