Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is ban of more than 3 games after Football Association found him guilty.

The star forward has already publicly admitted and apologised after biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Anfield and has until Tuesday to officially respond to the charges.

According to the FA, an Independent Regulatory Commission will hear the case on Wednesday to determine the extent of the punishment.

In the released statement, the FA will push for a lengthier ban than the statutory three-game suspension which usually follows a violent conduct charge.

“It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct, and it is the FA’s contention that the standard punishment of three matches is clearly insufficient in these circumstances.”

Suarez, who has already been banned for the same incident during his time with Ajax, has been fined by Liverpool and requested his money to be sent to the Hillsborough Family Support Group.

The Reds have pledged to work with the Uruguayan to correct his erratic behaviour but revealed that the incident does not affect his future with the club.

Furthermore, the Professional Footballers’ Association has offered to put Suarez through anger management lessons.
