Liverpool’s hopes of winning silverware next season have been hit by the news star striker Luis Suarez is still pushing to leave Anfield.

The Uruguayan ace has told Reds officials he wants to leave and although the club is keen to keep hold of him, the striker is still looking to move and claims to have “two or three options”.

Suarez initially said he wanted to move abroad to escape the English media but now it seems he would consider staying in the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Chelsea known to be keen.

The Gunners have already failed with one bid of £30million, while there have been suggestions that Chelsea could offer as much as £40million in the hope Liverpool sell.

Suarez has opened the door for a move to Arsenal but has played down reports he could be heading to Chelsea.

“My agent is in charge, he knows what I want,” he told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890. “Now there are two or three options and the club knows.

“There are no (other) offers yet but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want. It is good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal.

“Friends call me up to ask if I am moving to Chelsea, to which I laugh. Don’t believe everything you read or hear.”

To challenge at the top of the Premier League in the forthcoming campaign, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers knows he needs to keep his star men and losing Suarez would be a huge blow.
