Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping he can finalise a loan deal for Manchester United’s Wilfried Zaha before the end of transfer window.

Since his arrival in Wales, he has completed a number of deals, with Kenwyne Jones completing his switch on Tuesday from Stoke.

Solskjaer is looking to finalise his squad before the end of the window as he tries to keep Cardiff in the Premier League.

The former Manchester United striker returned to Old Trafford on Tuesday night, but he couldn’t help the Bluebirds pick up any points as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.

Solskjaer is hoping his connections at his former club will help him land Zaha and the Norwegian is confident the winger will soon be heading to South Wales.

He told Sky Sports: “He’s got that urgency in the last third – pace, power, he will bring that along with Kenwyne in the final third.

“They are players who will add something to what we’ve already got, because we have got some great players here.

“I’m really looking forward to the next game. We have got a few home games next month and we need to start putting points on the board.”

Should the deal be completed in time, Zaha could join Jones in the starting line-up for Cardiff’s home game against Norwich on Saturday.

The Bluebirds are 2.21 to pick up the three points with Norwich 2.85 to secure a vital away win.
