Carlo Ancelotti has urged his Real Madrid side to move on quickly from their El Clasico defeat to Barcelona on Sunday and get back to winning ways when they take on Sevilla on Wednesday.

The thrilling 4-3 defeat at the hands of Barca at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu meant Madrid slipped off the top of the table, with city rivals Atletico now top due to their better head-to-head record over Ancelotti’s side.

The two Madrid clubs are a point ahead of the Blaugrana in what is shaping up to be a very exciting title run-in and the Los Blancos coach has urged his side not to dwell on the recent defeat against their arch-rivals.

They visit the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan – where they lost last season – with Ancelotti warning them how they react could shape the rest of the campaign.

“This game is really, really important,” he said. “After a defeat it is important to react well. There is no time to think about what happened.

“It is more important to think about the game we are going to play than the game we just played. We played well [on Sunday], we just paid for some errors, but the mentality of the team was good and we could have won it.”

Real are short-priced 1.51 favourites to beat Sevilla (5.74), with the draw on offer at 4.28.

Barca (1.05) take on Celta Vigo (25.00) at Camp Nou on Wednesday, while Atletico (1.19) host Granada (14.80).
