Radja Nainggolan believes Roma deserved to take all three points away from Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night although he concedes a point was a decent result.

Roma made the trip to London to take on defending Premier League champions Chelsea and the two teams put on a spectacular show in the third round of fixtures in Champions League Group C.

The Italian outfit were arguably the better side in the first half but they found themselves 2-0 down after a superb 25-yard strike from David Luiz was added to by Belgium international Eden Hazard.

Aleksandar Kolarov struck before half-time to reduce the arrears before Edin Dzeko struck a superb quick-fire double after the break to put the visitors 3-2 up with 20 minutes remaining.

Chelsea managed to rescue a draw, with Hazard netting late on, and the Blues remain top of Group C on seven points while Roma sit second, three points ahead of Atletico Madrid in third.

Nainggolan felt slightly disappointed despite coming away with a point as he thought his side were good enough value to merit a victory against their English opponents.

“I think we had a great performance and it was so strange to concede the equaliser for 3-3, as we felt that we were the better side,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“We should’ve hung on to the lead a bit longer. It’s a good point, nonetheless.”

Roma are next in action on Sunday when they travel to Torino in Serie A and the hosts are 3.50 to pick up the win, a draw is priced at 3.75, while the visitors are 2.05 favourites.
