Sami Khedira is looking forward to playing alongside Emre Can at Juventus next season in Serie A.
Can joined the Italian champions on a free transfer earlier this week after deciding to leave Liverpool when his deal came to an end.
Khedira knows Can well having played alongside the 24-year-old with Germany and he feels the midfielder will make Juve stronger for the 2018-19 Serie A campaign.
Khedira is currently with the Germany squad at the World Cup in Russia but Can missed out on a place in their 23-man squad after struggling with injury last season.
The former Real Madrid midfielder also stressed he has no intention of leaving the Bianconeri this summer following speculation he could see a fresh challenge.
“He’s a very important signing, I know him well and I’m glad he’s joined us,” he told Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Why do I say ‘us’? Because I’ll definitely stay at Juventus and I have no intention of leaving. I’m fine there.”
Juve are 1.70 to win what would be an eighth successive Scudetto next season, while Napoli are 4.50 to win the Serie A title and Inter Milan can be backed at 11.00.
Khedira’s Germany take on Sweden in the World Cup on Saturday and they will be desperate to claim a victory after opening their defence with a 1-0 loss to Mexico.
The holders are 1.53 to secure a win, Sweden can be backed at 6.50 and a draw is 4.20.
