Reports claim Juventus will offer Manchester United one of three top players in exchange for midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has been the subject of much scrutiny since his well-publicised spat with Jose Mourinho and below-par displays at Old Trafford. The Frenchman has been unable to replicate the form he showed with Les Bleus when winning the 2018 World Cup on home soil.

Pogba enjoyed four seasons with the Old Lady between 2012 and 2016, but returned to the Theatre of Dreams in 2016 for big money. The 26-year-old has shown glimpses of his undoubted talent although he has not dominated as many games as the Red Devils’ hierarchy expected.

He hinted at a United exit this summer, telling reporters: “Like you said, there is a lot of talking and a lot of thinking as well.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well. “I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.

I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.” It is unlikely the United faithful agree that his last season was his “best” although he did rally to score 13 goals after Mourinho was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United, who are trying to invest in youth this summer, can be backed at 21.00 to win the Premier League and it remains to be seen if Solskjaer wants Pogba around to try and help the youngsters develop at the top level.
