Scott Bain insists Celtic are focused on the present and they won’t let thoughts of a unprecedented triple-treble derail their season.

Having already wrapped up the League Cup before Christmas, Celtic moved a giant step closer towards a third successive treble after beating Aberdeen 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday.

Neil Lennon’s side will now face Hearts in next month’s final, while they are likely to wrap up the Scottish Premiership title over the coming weeks, as they hold an 11-point advantage at the top of the standings with just five games left to play.

The triple-treble is certainly on the cards for the Bhoys, but goalkeeper Bain insists the squad will not be getting carried away by that prospect, with their focus remaining firmly on their next match away at Hibernian in the Premiership on Sunday.

“We never let ourselves get too far ahead. If you start dreaming and thinking of the future, then you forget about what’s in front of you and what you need to do,” Bain told the Celtic website.

“The boys have shown over the last three years that the focus is unmatched. The way they go into games is better than anyone else, especially in terms of concentration.

“Right now we’re looking to get this league wrapped up as quickly as possible and then from there we can start dreaming.”

Celtic are priced at 1.50 to make it eight wins from their last 10 games across all competitions when they take on Hibs at Easter Road this weekend, while Paul Heckingbottom’s side are available at 6.50 and the draw is on offer at 4.50.
