Real Madrid star Gareth Bale says Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has the pick of wherever he wants to play after another impressive Premier League season.
Tottenham snapped up Alli from MK Dons in the 2015 January transfer window on a five-and-a-half-year deal for an initial fee of £5million and immediately loaned the new signing back to then League One side.
The 21-year-old broke on to the scene at Spurs last season, scoring 10 goals from 33 Premier League appearances to help the club finish third.
His performances earned him a place in England’s squad for the 2016 European Championship and the midfielder has become an integral player for the Three Lions.
The former City Colts youth star has kicked on even further this campaign and his strike in the 4-0 win over Watford last Saturday took his Premier League tally to 16 this term.
Several reports have been linking the Englishman with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer and Real Madrid is said to be a possible destination.
Bale has first-hand experience of this situation, having left Spurs in 2013 to join Los Blancos, and the Wales international has gone on to become a global superstar.
The 27-year-old forward insists Alli has everything going for him and on current form would fit into any team in the world.
Bale told the Metro: “In terms of his ability he could play wherever he wants – he’s achieved so much in such a short period of time that he must have great confidence in his ability to affect games at a high level.”
Alli will be hoping to maintain his form when Spurs host Bournemouth on Saturday and the home side are firm 1.25 favourites. The draw is priced at 6.00 while the Cherries are massive 10.00 outsiders.
