Erik Lamela says Tottenham must quickly move on from their Carabao Cup disappointment as they still have plenty to play for this season.

Spurs saw their first chance to win some silverware this term disappear on Thursday, as they were beaten on penalties by Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

The North Londoners do not have too long to dwell on that disappointment, however, as they are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be hopeful of progressing from that tie, while they also have a Champions League last-16 showdown with Borussia Dortmund to look forward to, as well as still having an outside chance of challenging for the Premier League title.

Argentina international Lamela certainly still feels there is plenty for Spurs to play for this season and he has urged his side to quickly bounce back from their shootout heartache at Stamford Bridge.

“The season is long and we need to move on,” Lamela told the club’s website.

“It’s another game in three days (against Palace) and the season isn’t finished.

“We’re out of this competition, that’s hard for us but we need to keep going forward, always.”

Tottenham are priced at 2.63 to respond with a victory against Palace, who are available at 2.75, while the draw is on offer at 3.25.
