Manchester United came up with a fine performance against arch-rivals Arsenal as they defeated them by 3-2 at Old Trafford on Thursday night. It was a much-needed win for Manchester United as they haven’t been at their best in the recent past.

Ronaldo took to his Instagram handle to share an inspirational post for his teammates. The talisman wrote that the Red Devils has already shifted their focus to their next match and also gave his gratitude to the fans for all the support they received during the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on Instagram: “Our minds are already set on the next game, there’s no time to celebrate! Today’s win was very important to get back on track, but there’s still a long road to go until we reach our destination… Congrats to all my teammates, great spirit tonight! And a very special thank you to our supporters, we couldn’t have done it without you”

Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored a brace against Arsenal and played a key role in the team’s win. The tourists took the lead in the 13th minute in a bizarre fashion when Emile Smith Rowe’s goal counted despite the fact that Van de Gea was injured and stood no chance to save the goal.

Subsequently, Bruno Fernandes ended his goal drought for the club as the Portuguese scored at the stroke of half-time. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored in the 52nd minute but Manchester United could not keep their lead for long as Martin Odegaard equalized within two minutes.

Ronaldo then once again scored from the penalty in the 70th minute to give a 3-2 lead. Ronaldo’s first goal was his 800th at the top level and he became the first player to reach the glorious milestone.

Manchester United will next lock horns against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
