Manchester United will travel to Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals after seeing off Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba grabbed first-half goals for United as they booked their spot in the last eight and dumped out the defending champions.

The FA Cup appears to be the Red Devils’ only real chance of silverware this season under club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after last week’s 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Manchester United are 4.33 to win the FA Cup outright, with Manchester City rated as the 1.83 favourites.

The loss to PSG was United’s first defeat since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as manager until the end of the campaign, and former Chelsea man Juan Mata says the win on Monday was the ideal response to that setback.

“It was the perfect reaction to our defeat against Paris Saint-Germain,” he said.

“It is not easy to come to Stamford Bridge and win against Chelsea, to not concede any goals and to play good football.

“I think it was a very good evening for us and it will give us a lot of confidence for the next games.”

United host Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend and they are 3.10 to come out on top. A draw is 3.50 and Liverpool can be backed at 2.30.
