Leicester star Marc Albrighton feels his side have a chance to do well in the cup competitions this season.

The Foxes are through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after seeing off Southampton on penalties earlier this week.

Leicester have been handed a tough draw in the next round, however, as they come up against holders and Premier League champions Manchester City in the last eight next month.

Albrighton, who was a member of Leicester’s Premier League-winning side in 2016, rejected any suggestion the club could prioritise the league over the cups.

“We want to go as far as possible in the cups as well as doing well in the league,” he told the Leicester Mercury.

“There’s no mentality here of ‘oh it’s just a cup, we’ll concentrate on the league’. “There’s no mentality of that. We want to do well in every competition that we play in.”

Leicester are currently 10th in the Premier League table, 10 points clear of the bottom three and eight adrift of the European places.

The Foxes entertain the side immediately above them this weekend as they welcome Watford to the King Power Stadium on Saturday and can be backed at 2.25 to claim a win. A 3-1 success for Leicester is 17.00 and Albrighton to score anytime is 7.50 in the PRICE BOOSTS.
