Leicester defender Harry Maguire has called on the squad to carry through the character they showed against Manchester United into their next Premier League outing.

The Foxes have been an improving side since Claude Puel’s appointment on October 25, having won five and drawn four of their 11 outings.

Leicester continued their impressive form on Saturday as they had to dig deep to claim a 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Jamie Vardy put Leicester ahead but a brace from Juan Mata saw the Red Devils edge into a 2-1 at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester’s hopes of fighting back took a hit when Daniel Amartey was sent off, however, Maguire popped up in the 94th minute to slide an effort past David de Gea.

Saturday’s draw puts Leicester in a lofty eighth position in the Premier League and Maguire has challenged his team mates to show the same character when they return to action against Watford on Boxing Day.

Maguire said: “United are a massive club with a great team and we need to try and take the character into the next game against Watford.

“We’ve got a great bunch here and everybody is going to fight to the death.

We had to keep it at 2-1 for as long as we could, the manager kept saying we’d get one more chance.”

Leicester are priced at 3.00 to claim all three points on Tuesday, while Watford can be backed at 2,40 to come out on top at Vicarage Road, while the draw is available at 3.50.
