Ben Chilwell believes last month’s victories over Chelsea and Manchester City should give Leicester confidence ahead of a testing run of fixtures.

The Foxes followed up a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge just before Christmas with a 2-1 home triumph over reigning Premier League champions City on Boxing Day.

However, since then Claude Puel’s side have lost four of their last five fixtures across all competitions, most recently going down 4-3 at Wolves on Saturday.

With matches against Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham over the coming weeks, it is difficult to see where Leicester’s next points are going to come from, but England international Chilwell is drawing confidence and inspiration from their successes over the festive period.

“We’ve got three very tough fixtures coming up but we said the same thing about the Man City and Chelsea games – and we won both of them,” Chilwell told Leicester’s website.

“It’s a strange game, football. “We’ve just got to work hard for them three big games coming up. We’ll give 100 per cent and come back confident ready for them.”

First up for Leicester is a trip to Anfield to take on league leaders Liverpool on January 30 and they are priced at 15.00 to cause a surprise. The Merseysiders are available at 1.22 and the draw is on offer at 6.00.

Leicester have lost their last three matches against Liverpool, including a 2-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium earlier this season.
