On a night that owner Roman Abramovich disclosed his intent to sell Chelsea Football Club, Chelsea Football Club came from behind to beat Luton Town in the FA Cup to move into the next round of the competition.

The Blues are uncertain of their leadership with a new owner imminent after Abrahamovic”s declaration on Tuesday evening. Therefore it wasn’t a surprise when the carabao cup losing finalist at the weekend went behind the championship side within the first two minutes of a game through a header from Reece Burke.

The Blues equalized in the 27th minute of the first half through Saul Niguez, before the hosts went into the lead again just before halftime. German Forward Timo Werner and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku would find the back of the net in 68th and 78th minutes respectively to give Chelsea the win.

Werner, who scored Chelsea’s second implied that the game was another Cup finalz acknowledging that cup games are very difficult to play.

“Cup games are always difficult games especially away against a second division team who did very well today and gave everything. We had a Cup final today too, and both of the games were difficult to play, and after losing on Sunday we wanted to show we want to go into the next final. It was hard work, but we won.” Werner Said.

Chelsea lost their last game, the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium on penalties at the weekend. They will not turn their attention to the Premier League this coming weekend against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Meanwhile, Southampton beat West Ham 3-1 to move into the FA Cup Next Round while Liverpool got the better of Norwich City.
