Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has claimed his team can overcome Manchester City next week after the Blues got back to winning ways against Huddersfield Town.

The Blues were humbled in midweek by Bournemouth as they lost 4-0 on the south coast. Maurizio Sarri admits his players were lacking motivation but they showed no signs of that on Saturday as they breezed past the Terriers.

January signing Gonzalo Higuain got a brace either side of two goals from Eden Hazard, while David Luiz wrapped up the scoring in the last four minutes of play.

Chelsea face a stern test next week when they take on champions City but Hazard insists his side can silence their doubters and grab all three points.

“It’s going to be a different game than two or three months ago,” Hazard told Chelsea TV.

“I think they will have the ball. City have these kind of players to play together.

“We will defend well and then we will score one goal or two. We need to be focused. This month is going to be hard, but we are Chelsea. We can beat everyone if we want.”

Hazard was also quick to praise Higuain for his efforts on Saturday as he took his tally to two goals in as many matches.

He added: “He’s a great striker. He’s a bit less of a target man than (Olivier) Giroud, but he can hold the ball, he can play one touches. He’s intelligent.

“In the box he’s unbelievable. He will score more goals.” Chelsea are 6.00 to win the match next week, with the draw 4.33 and City 1.53 favourites.
