Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was satisfied with the performance of summer buy Alvaro Morata after his debut in a pre-season friendly loss to Bayern Munich.

The Premier League champions went down 3-2 in Singapore as they continued their preparations ahead of their title defence.

Chelsea are 4.33 to win the Premier League 2017-18 outright while Liverpool are 12.00 and Tottenham are 9.00.

Morata was introduced as a substitute as he made his first appearance following a big-money move from Real Madrid.

The striker managed to make an impact, with an assist for Chelsea’s second goal after he got a touch on a Cesc Fabregas corner for Michy Batshuayi to divert home from close range.

Conte feels Morata needs more time to get used to his new team-mates but was happy with the forward’s debut.

“It’s not easy to speak about the impact of Alvaro because he’s only been with us two days and he needs to work and find his feet, and understand our idea of football, but for sure he showed a great will and for us he’s a great buy,” said the Italian.

“We need to give him the right time to adapt to our way of football but he must be pleased with his performance.”

Chelsea open the new Premier League campaign against Burnley at Stamford Bridge and they are 10.00 to win 4-0. Burnley are 10.00 to claim a victory and the draw is available at 7.00.
