Johann Berg Gudmundsson has piled the praise on Burnley pair Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood after the 1-1 draw against Stoke City on Sunday.
Barnes scored his 10th goal of the season from close range as he cancelled out Badou Ndiaye’s opener.
Sunday’s strike was his sixth in eight matches and his partnership with Chris Wood has now created 20 goals for the Clarets this season.
The duo are battling it out for the club’s top scorer award and Gudmundsson believes they will continue to fire in the final few games of the season.
“Great strikers pop up with the goals and he’s been really good this season,” Gudmundsson told reporters.
“They’ve both been scoring goals which helps the team. It’s a great feeling to have two strikers that can score goals.
“We try to get as many crosses in as possible for the two big lads up front. It’s great to have two strikers who can score goals waiting in the box.
“We created our chances and we should have scored a second goal as well. In the first half I think we were a bit sloppy, we gave them too much respect I think and the crowd was bouncing trying to help them as well.
“The second was much better from us and we created a lot of chances. We should have scored.”
Burnley are next in action against Brighton on Saturday and they are 2.25 favourites to win at Turf Moor. The draw is 3.20, while the Seagulls are priced at odds of 3.40.
