Burnley are willing to offer manager Sean Dyche a new contract this summer in order to fend off interest from fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The Clarets did enough to avoid the drop last season as they finished 16th after a tough campaign.

Their home form under Dyche was crucial in their survival but he is now reportedly wanted by Palace.

Palace are on the lookout for a new boss after Sam Allardyce retired last month and Dyche is at the top of their wishlist.

The Eagles also avoided the drop but they now want to appoint Dyche on a long-term deal. In a bid to thwart their interest, Burnley are now ready to offer an improved contract.

The club would receive £1million if he was to jump ship now but the club’s board are ready to do all they can to keep him.

They also face a fight to keep striker Andre Gray this summer, with Everton lining up a potential bid. The Toffees could lose Romelu Lukaku and Ronald Koeman is on the lookout for fresh signings and Gray reportedly fits the bill.

West Ham United had a bid rejected in the January and they could return with an improved offer, while Tottenham are also looking for a backup to England international Harry Kane.

Keeping both Dyche and Gray would be crucial for the club this summer as they look to avoid the drop next year.

They are priced at odds of 2.25 to go down with Dafabet, with Huddersfield the current favourites at 1.57.
