Brighton defender Shane Duffy insists he is excited to play out the closing stages of the season against some big clubs.

The Seagulls, who are priced at 9.00 to be relegated, have enjoyed a strong first season in the Premier League but still have work to do to ensure they remain in the top flight for 2018-19.

Chris Hughton’s men currently sit 13th, seven points clear of the bottom three, with five games still left to play.

One more victory is likely to be enough to see them clear although they are set to come up against sides in the top seven.

Tottenham travel to the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night before the Seagulls take on Burnley, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Duffy insists he isn’t fazed by the big names that lie in wait and claims it is part and parcel of being a Premier League outfit.

“For a club like this, it’s something that you’ve got to take in your stride and look forward to,” Duffy said.

“What a week our last week is. It may be tough but this is why we’re in the Premier League.

“It’s something that I’m looking forward to and the lads are really up for it. We’re delighted we’ve got these games all at once.

“The adrenaline is going to be high and you’re going to want to play the best game of your life against all of them.”
