The Arsenal hierarchy wants to close the Azeez case as soon as possible and link the player to a long-term contract with the club.

18-year-old Azeez is a product of the Hale End academy. High-quality players such as Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have also emerged from this academy, and they have earned a place in the Gunners first team.

The club sees great potential in the young player, and for this reason, they want to ensure his continuity as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Last December, Azeez made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Europa League game against Dundalk.

Although the player was trained at the Arsenal academy and trains regularly with the first team, despite not having made his debut in the Premier League, the negotiations seem not to be easy.

Azeez recently changed agents, and it seems that his new representatives are putting pressure to achieve a better future for the player, even if it is outside the Emirates.

The Nigerian-English midfielder has been called the next Patrick Viera. He has currently participated in 10 Premier League 2 games where he has scored one goal and is occasionally called up as a substitute to the first team Europa League games.

According to media such as The Express and The Sun, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta plans to promote Azeez to the first team later this season. Since the Spanish coach wants the player to gain a little more confidence and experience to perform well in the team’s midfield.
