Italy coach Cesare Prandelli had good things to say about his team’s resolve to fight back, gets 2-2 draw against Brazil.

The South Americans looked poised to dominate the tie after goals from Fred and Oscar gave them a two-goal lead before halftime, but Daniele De Rossi and Mario Balotelli leveled the scores in Geneva.

According to the former Fiorentina boss, the result was an impressive indicator of their resolve in the game.

“We risked a lot being 2-0 down but we were better organised in the second half. It was good spirit from the team.

“I like us being in this form as it gives us more confidence.”

He went on to come to the defence of Balotelli and Mattia De Sciglio, who were blamed for both goals by Brazil.

“[Balotelli] had the best opportunities and scored a great goal,” he said

“The important thing is that he is at the top of his game during competitions.

“Mattia De Sciglio showed great technique and maturity.”
