Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has urged his team to stay on task as they look to continue their winning run against league-leaders Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The Foxes, 5.50 to be relegated, have climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to four wins on the bounce.
Victories over West Ham, West Brom, Swansea and Burnley have given Pearson’s side a fighting chance of staying in the Premier League.
Pearson’s men looked doomed at the foot of the table just a few weeks ago but their fighting spirit has seen them put the pressure on relegation rivals Burnley, QPR, Sunderland, Hull and Aston Villa.
Despite their good recent form, Leicester will be up against it when they face Chelsea, who are looking to pick up the five points they need to wrap up the title in next few weeks.
David Nugent and Jeffrey Schlupp are in contention to face the Blues but Jamie Vardy will have a late fitness test.
Reports have suggested Pearson will rest some key personnel with Newcastle next up on Saturday but the Foxes boss has urged his team to keep their concentration as they try to survive.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: “My focus is Leicester City, we will always do what is best for us. But who knows what is out best side? I think I do and it might be different for this game than it was for the previous game and as it might be for the next game. That’s the point.
“The only thing that matters is that we’re out on the bottom three after 38 games. To do that we have to remain focused.
“There is still a lot of football to be played. Every game now has something riding on it. There’s lots left to do. We want to try to win this next game. It will be hard against Chelsea but there’s no reason not to look at it positively.”
