Napoli set to sign Mazzocchi and Samardzic

Multiple outlets have reported that Napoli are set to sign Salernitana full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi, Sky Sport Italia, Calciomercato.com, and TMW amongst others reported that Napoli already struck a deal with Salernitana counterparts on Monday afternoon for a permanent transfer of the defender.
According to reports, Napoli will pay Salernitana a fee in the region of €3m to complete the process.
La Repubblica reported that Mazzocchi wants to join Napoli in the winter transfer window and has already informed his club about his desire to leave. This, according to Radio Kiss Kiss, makes his transfer to the Stadio Maradona’ imminent.’
The Partenopei are prepared to hand over a three-and-a-half-year contract to the 28-year-old, who is expected to come in as an understudy to captain and current right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Although his move is imminent, Napoli are expected to make Mazzocchi’s deal official in the coming days. According to reports from TMW, a medical is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
It was also reported that Napoli’s 23-year-old right-back Alessandro Zanoli is expected to join Genoa on loan.
In a related development, the Serie A champions are close to signing Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic.
Walter Mazzarri has needed much-needed reinforcements, and this is expected to be good news for the former Inter manager.
Samardzic is identified as Eljif Elmas’ replacement at the Stadio Meazza.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Partenopei have already reached a principle of agreement with Udinese for €20m.
Samardzic had undergone medical tests with Inter last summer and was expected to complete a move to San Siro, only for the deal to fall through as his father failed to reach an agreement with Beppe Marotta.
Things are expected to be different this time as the 21-year-old midfielder is pushing to move to the Stadio Maradona, and all parties hope to shake hands soon.
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that the club has already sold midfielder Zielinski.
