Neither Inter Milan nor Sunday’s opponents, Napoli, have made the best of starts to the Serie A campaign but it is the visitors to the San Siro that appear to have momentum on their side.

Back-to-back wins against Sassuolo and Torino have moved Napoli into the top half and above their hosts.

Striker Lorenzo Insigne got his first goal of the season in the 2-1 home success against Torino and he believes the team spirit and togetherness of the squad can help them secure three points against Inter.

“We want to continue down this positive road and extend our winning streak,” Insigne said.

“We’ve not let our early period of bad luck bring us down as we have a tight-knit group that has proven its quality at a difficult time. We believe in our own potential and we want to fight to get to the top of the table. ”

Their early-season form has left Napoli with plenty of catching up to do on pacesetters Juventus and Roma.

They face an Inter side likely to be short on confidence after a torrid run of their own.

Inter suffered an embarrassing 4-1 home defeat to Cagliari in their previous home game – the only victory Zdenek Zeman’s team have managed in six games this season.

They were easily swept aside by Fiorentina in their most recent outing, falling to a 3-0 defeat. Despite that, Insigne is expecting a difficult game against Walter Mazzarri’s troops.

“We will have to play a great game at San Siro because we will be up against a strong team,” he added.

Inter are 2.49 to win on Sunday with the draw 3.14 while Napoli are 2.86 to inflict a third successive league defeat on the Nerazzurri.
