Monaco have the chance to cut Paris Saint-Germain’s lead at the top of the table to just two points when the two giants square off at the Stade Louis II on Sunday

Monaco are priced at an attractive 2.90 for the win given they have home advantage.

A massive minus for Claudio Ranieri’s men is the absence of star striker Radamel Falcao but the acquisition of Dimitar Berbatov on deadline day looks a shrewd move.

The Bulgarian does have his detractors but there is no doubt that, on his day, he can be a match for anyone and possesses the necessary skills to unlock the tightest of defences.

Sunday’s match looks set to be a tight affair with PSG wary of conceding ground to their nearest rivals, while Laurent Blanc will also be without one of his key weapons as Edinson Cavani is set to miss out.

Any team containing Zlatan Ibrahimovic needs to be taken seriously although Monaco have the knowledge that they held the title favourites to a 1-1 draw in Paris and their need on Sunday is obviously greater.

The last two matches between these French giants have ended in a 1-1 scoreline, which is currently priced at 6.00, with the previous encounter finishing 2-2, so little has separated these two in recent head-to-heads.

However, with Monaco needing to win to keep their title ambitions alive, 2.90 is well worth considering but those looking for a bit more insurance could take the Principality outfit with +0.5 on the handicap at 1.70.
